Please be reminded that travel requirements to the UK are changing, the introduction of the Electronic Travel Authorisation (ETA) earlier in the year is a significant change for drivers travelling to the UK.
Non-UK & Non-Irish citizens (or those others with permanent residency rights in the UK) must apply for travel authorisation to enter the United Kingdom and will need an ETA, which is a digital permission to travel.
We are still seeing some affected drivers arriving at our French ports without a valid ETA. This can result in delays, to avoid any possible delays please be aware this application for (ETA) is something that only needs to be done once every two years, unless a new passport is obtained.
What steps should your drivers take?
- Check eligibility: Determine whether an ETA is needed for travel to the UK.
- Apply early: Submit an ETA application well in advance travel
- Keep travel documents up to date: This will help ensure a smooth and efficient process.

Compliance with this travel advice will help prevent drivers being refused travel to the UK.
