Recently, Sean (our Italian Sales Agent), went on a road trip across Italy with Alex (our Managing Director) and John (Head of Sales).

The goal? To strengthen our relationships with our Mediterranean ferry partners and to secure an even stronger offering for our customers. Oh, and to experience some of the wonderful Italian hospitality, of course.

1. Bluferries

No more waiting around at the port.

The journey began as the plane landed in Sicily in the early morning on Tuesday the 9th of April. After arriving in Catania several hours later, Sean and the team enjoyed an insightful meeting with Bluferries, seeing their exemplary services in action.

2. Grimaldi Lines

A leading shipping company.

Sean and the team arrived in Naples the next day (after quite the character-building drive through the city) and met with multiple members of the Grimaldi Lines senior team. They were thrilled to learn more about what plans the Grimaldi team has in store, and to share some of our own as well.

3. Moby Lines

One of Europe’s fastest-growing operators. 

The perfect way to end Day 2 of the journey, Sean and the team had an afternoon meeting with Moby Lines’ Cargo Manager, Valerio. Here, they learnt about Moby Lines’ future plans and new ferries.

4. GNV

New routes, history tours and more.

After meeting with customers in Turin on Thursday, Sean & the team had the pleasure of meeting with Alessandro at GNV and seeing their Genoa Port operations firsthand. The team also enjoyed some authentic pesto alla genovese with Alessandro.

In the coming months, we are thrilled to be adding some additional routes for our customers,  and to be revealing some more exciting projects ahead.

5. RAlpin

Why drive when you can ride?

For their final stop, Sean and the team visited RAlpin for a tour of the terminal and train, and an important meeting with Federico and Giovanni from the RAlpin team.

With 16 trains per day, 8 from each direction and a travel time of just 11 hours, RAlpin is ideal for time-critical and 'just-in-time' shipments between Italy and Germany.
